Founded in Melbourne by two women, Hannah & Olivia, muted® Underwear began as a project that stemmed from a personal motive. 75% of women experience vaginal irritation, which included us.

One of the easiest ways to prevent irritation is by wearing breathable, natural materials, such as cotton. But finding thongs that were actually comfortable, looked good & were good for vaginal health? Nearly impossible.

We’ve both struggled with irritation, discomfort, and underwear that just didn’t fit right, so we knew exactly what we needed to do. We spent 2.5 years designing, testing, and perfecting a better solution.

Our thongs are designed to hug your figure in all the right places, no riding, no bunching, no discomfort, just effortless, second-skin comfort that feels as good as it looks.

Not only are our underwear designed with women's needs in mind, we made sure every piece is ethically produced & sustainable, using responsibly sourced materials and a family run business for production, but also ensuring sustainability from production all the way through to when our underwear arrive at your front door.
